Ice bow is more deadly than pistol or shotgun.Īlso two handed weapons are basically made for hold high ground, if you hit someone with a 2 handed weapon when is about to climb to your building and make him fall, then you jump on top of him with one handed weapon is basically dead, make sure to hit the head by the way, ,but I wouldn't recommend use two handed as they are so slow and the damage isn't so great, you can actually use the air attack to push your runners into spikes or finish off a big number of zombies instantly, my preference in combat is use a dagger with shock mod which does insane damage,unarms the enemy and can keep stabbing while running so no one can run away from you, well kill big zombies I rather ice mod as after 2 heavy hit they are frozen and you can finish them off easily,fast and safe. I mean if you get stabbed by knifes just drink pain killers while running away and then come back with full health, they don't do so much damage,and pain killers are as common as throwing knifes, the only thing seems broken to me in ranged weapons is the bow with Ice mod in it, as it just makes imposible to dodge anything or run away, if you don't have a shield you are dead. (and before you mention guns, they are incredibly difficult to obtain, and are hard to control, and have very limited ammo) With knives doing less damage per hit than a sledgehammer. This is expecially baffling since other aspects of the game follow this VERY BASIC GAME DESIGN IDEA. Items like sledgehammers do less damage with a charged swing than a bow headshot, and unless given attachments do not cause any bleed damage, so this means a large, slow weapon is less punishing than a quick, swiftly used bow or knife. Throwing knives break this rules, bows break this rule even more.īoth send fast moving projectiles at you, with the throwing knives having very little warning as to when an enemy is about to use them (and its impossible to know if someone has throwing knives until you get stabbed with one) and throwing knives arent even that rare or hard to find. Now a basic design philosophy in games is that weapons that are harder to hit enemies with should do more damage, as to award players who landed the hit with an unwildy weapon and punish players who let themselves get slammed by something so slow and well telegraphed Lets compare a common bleed weapon, throwing knives, to some other weapons But it is, by definition, over powered, as most bleed weapons are expnentially better that anything that isnt a gun Some people look at a weapon that forces you to take damage until you leave yourself vulnerable to pull it out is NOT OP.
